The transfer across the city to Feyenoord's feeder club means de Haan is unlikely to play for the Uefa Cup holders again, as the deal is likely to stretch until his contract at De Kuip expires in 2004.
De Haan has not been first-choice at the club, instead covering for central defenders when they have been injured or suspended.
Furthermore, young Glenn Loovens has emerged as a fringe first teamer this term, leaving the 30-year-old to look for a fresh start elsewhere.
"I had already decided to leave Feyenoord in the winter break," he told the club's official website.
"But, because Civard Sprockel picked up an injury against Vitesse, they needed me now."
De Haan will make his debut in next Sunday's clash with Ajax.
