RBC keen on Pardo

RBC Roosendaal are looking to seal a loan deal for Feyenoord's Sebastian Pardo.

RBC Roosendaal are looking to seal a loan deal for Feyenoord midfielder Sebastian Pardo.

Chilean midfielder Pardo arrived at De Kuip from Universidad de Chile in 2002 and was tipped to take De Eredivisie by storm.

He started well under Bert van Marwijk and had English clubs on his tail after scoring a stunning goal against Newcastle in the UEFA Champions League.

Pardo's career has stalled this season, with injury forcing him to watch from the sidelines.

New Kuip chief Ruud Gullit is desperate for the midfielder to secure some playing time now that he has returned to fitness and RBC are keen on a loan deal.

RBC and Feyenoord are on good terms, as Gullit recently brought Edwin de Graaf back to De Kuip from Roosendaal and they will hope that will enable them to swoop for Pardo in January.

A player on his way to Feyenoord is Nicky Hofs, who will join the club in the summer.

The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year contract with Feyenoord and will move in the summer after finishing this season with Vitesse Arnhem.

Commenting on his move, Hofs said: "I want to say farewell to Vitesse in the best way and also show the people at Feyenoord what I'm worth.

"I'm happy with my transfer to Rotterdam, but I'll only concentrate on Feyenoord when my work in Arnhem is done."

Gullit, meanwhile, has loaned out teenage ace Wouter Artz to Excelsior.

The 19-year-old made his Feyenoord debut against Basel in the Uefa Cup and Gullit is keen for him to accrue more experience before bringing him back to the club in the summer.
