Loovens move stalls

Glenn Loovens has returned to Feyenoord after failing a medical at De Graafschap.

Glenn Loovens has returned to Feyenoord after his proposed move to De Graafschap fell apart when he failed a second medical.

Talented defender Loovens accepted a loan proposal from De Graafschap on transfer deadline day and was set to sign on the dotted line after undergoing a medical.

However, he picked up a groin injury on Monday and the move was shelved as De Graafschap could not be convinced that the knock was only minor.

Loovens has headed back to Feyenoord for treatment, but is expected to seal his move to De Graafschap once he proves his fitness.

There is no undue rush to complete the loan move, as Dutch clubs are allowed to do two internal transfers up until March.
