Ruud Gullit's side's efforts were compromised within twenty minutes as they went down to ten men, whilst the home side kept their survival hopes alive by drawing level with 17th placed De Graafschap.
The visitors had a tough task on their hands when stopper Pascal Bosschaart saw red after just 17 minutes for a professional foul.
Den Bosch then opened the scoring just a minute later to rub the salt into Feyenoord's wounds thanks to striker Gijs Cales.
Even though Gullit's side hit back to draw level through defender Andre Bahia on 63, a four minute brace from Den Bosch's Koen van de Laak put the tie beyond doubt.
The home side capped a magnificent performance as Steve Olfers (pictured) struck with three minutes to go to leave Gullit's team four points shy of surprise second-place Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar.
