Feyenoord are rumoured to be closing in on Egyptian Sherif Ekramy.
Feyenoord chief Ruud Gullit is planning for the future and reports in Holland are suggesting he is set to sign Egyptian keeper Sherif Ekramy from Al Ahly.
Ekramy spent time on trial at De Kuip last season and made a positive impression on the club's coaching staff.
It is believed that the youngster, who has also been linked with Ajax, will join the club in the summer before being loaned out to Excelsior in a bid to accrue first-team experience.
Feyenoord forward Danko Lazovic will play no further part in the club's season.
The forward was hit with a four-game ban for elbowing Heerenveen's Ugur Yildirim in the recent clash between the two sides.
Feyenoord are unlikely to appeal, which is set to force the Serbian to sit out the remainder of the campaign.
