Salomon Kalou's agent says the star will not turn out for World Cup qualifers Ivory Coast.Despite their qualification for the World Cup finals, Salomon Kalou's agent says the star will not turn out for Ivory Coast.
Pierre Wome's disastrous penalty miss for Cameroon handed The Elephants their first ever chance to shine on football's biggest stage on Saturday.
Whilst Kalou's older brother Bonaventure is expected to be representing the African nation, Salomon is remaining steadfast in his intention to attain Dutch citizenship.
The Feyenoord forward has been twice turned down in his attempts to fast-track the process, although his agent insists he will not consider reverting his attentions back to Ivory Coast even after their moment of glory.
"He will not play for Ivory Coast," de Visser told GPD-Bladen.
"When Salomon started the procedure to become a Dutch citizen one year ago Ivory Coast already did really well in qualifying.
"So if it was just for going to the World Cup he could play for his country at that moment.
"His choice is not for one World Cup, not for one month."
