Danny Buijs has accepted a three-match suspension for striking Danko Lazovic.
Feyenoord midfielder Danny Buijs has accepted a three-match suspension for striking Vitesse Arnhem striker Danko Lazovic.
The incident occurred during Feyenoord's 2-1 win over Vitesse at the start of the month and had been investigated by the KNVB.
Following the probe, the KNVB decided to mete out a four-game ban, although one match is conditional.
Buijs will now miss upcoming Eredivisie games against AZ Alkmaar, NEC Nijmegen and Heerenveen.
He had signed off prior to his suspension by scoring twice in last weekend's 5-3 victory at Willem II Tilburg.
Meanwhile, Feyenoord defender Dwight Tiendalli will not serve a suspension after his sending off against Willem II.
Tiendalli was dismissed for handling the ball on the goal-line, but video evidence proved he had not committed an offence.
Referee Jack van Hulten admitted the mistake and Tiendalli has now had his red card rescinded.
