Willem II helped their cause at the bottom of the Eredivisie table with a 3-0 win over Groningen, but RKC Waalwijk remain in trouble.
Cristiano fired Willem II in front less than 60 seconds in against Groningen and the home side doubled their advantage through Anouar Hadouir before the break.
Hadouir got his second of the game with 20 minutes remaining as Willem II climbed above Heracles Almelo in the table.
