PSV continued to set the pace at the top of the Eredivisie with a victory over ADO Den Haag.

PSV, Heracles, Heerenveen and Roda all record wins

PSV continued to set the pace at the top of the Eredivisie with a victory over ADO Den Haag, while Heracles Almelo won a seven goal thriller against nine-man Groningen. Elsewhere, Heerenveen upset FC Utrecht and Roda JC Kerk boosted their survival hopes at the expense of Sparta Rotterdam. Maza Rodriguez and Ola Toivonen scored vital goals as Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven recorded a 2-0 win over ADO Den Haag. Fred Rutten's PSV swept into the lead after 16 minutes when Balazs Dzsudzsak fired in an inswinging corner from the right and Rodriguez powered home his headed opportunity. Orlando Engelaar was the architect of the second goal in the 61st minute. His pass from the right wing was met by Toivonen in the heart of the penalty area, from where he hit a firm shot which ADO goalkeeper Robert Zwinkels managed to block. But Zwinkels was beaten as Toivonen pounced on the rebound and headed home. Heracles Almelo came from two goals down in the final 19 minutes to win 4-3 against nine-man Groningen. Tomas Enevoldsen (35 and 41) scored twice to give visiting Groningen a comfortable lead before Bas Dost pulled a goal back for Heracles on 46 minutes. Morten Nordstrand then restored Groningen's two-goal advantage three minutes later, but the away side then had Gibril Sankoh (59) and Leandro Bacuna (64) sent off. A two-man advantage was just the incentive Heracles required and goals from Dost (71), Willie Overtoom (75) and Birger Marten produced a dramatic turnaround. Heerenveen, who on Friday appointed Jan Everse as their coach until the end of season, upset FC Utrecht 2-0. Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Gerald Sibon scored both his sides goals, breaking the deadlock in the fifth minute before converting a 51st minute penalty. Elsewhere, Roda JC Kerk boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 home win over fellow strugglers Sparta Rotterdam. Willem Janssen (32) and Mads Junker (65) gave Roda the lead and Sparta could only respond through Erik Falkenburg's 89th minute consolation.
