Lambers is currently in his fourth year with Young Groningen and has impressed between the posts.
The struggling Eredivisie club had been searching for reliable cover for first choice Roy Beukenkamp at the Oosterpark Stadion.
They had been discussing a deal with former shot-stopper Bas Roorda but the 30-year-old has decided to stay with Roda JC Kerkrade.
Groningen have now looked in-house for a back-up to Beukenkamp and offered Lambers a contract.
