Utrecht have handed a new deal to midfield starlet Nassir Macchi.The 20-year-old is rated extremely highly within the corridors of the Nieuw Galgewaard and coach Foeke Booy has headed off the prospect of him being lured away by handing him a new deal.
Macchi has signed a new three-year contract and will look to continue his fine form in the Eredivisie.
Utrecht are also working to tie other players to longer deals, with Jean-Paul de Jong and Edson Braafheid currently in talks, while meetings are planned with Joost Broerse, Etienne Shew-Atjon, Leen van Steensel, Bas Mooy and Giuseppe Rossini.
