NAC are likely to be without the services of Pierre van Hooijdonk for the next month.NAC Breda are likely to be without the services of Dutch international striker Pierre van Hooijdonk for the next month of the season.
The powerful forward suffered severe bruising to his ribs in a challenge with Willem II goalkeeper Oscar Moens in Friday's Eredivisie clash.
X-rays have revealed there is no break, but he has picked up bruising which is likely to sideline him for around a month.
"There is a lot of pain," said van Hooijdonk. "The pain will determine how long I will be out for.
"A careful forecast would be that I will be out for four to six weeks."
Willem II suffered an injury of their own in Friday's encounter, with 21-year-old defender Frank van Mosselveld damaging ankle ligaments which are likely to keep him out for six weeks.
