NAC record first win

Johann Vonlanthen gave NAC Breda a 1-0 home win over Willem II on Friday.

A late strike from on-loan Swiss striker Johann Vonlanthen gave NAC Breda a 1-0 home win over Willem II.

The 19-year-old is on a season-long loan from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven and he claimed NAC's first win of the new Eredivisie season with three minutes remaining against ten-man Willem II.

The Tilburg club went a man short on 69 minutes after Kevin Bobson received a second yellow card before Vonlanthen delighted the home crowd with his late winner.

The result gives NAC a win and a defeat from their opening two Eredivisie matches this season, while Willem II have recorded two straight defeats to start their campaign.
