Willem II and Sparta Rotterdam could not be seperated in a 0-0 draw.
Friday's only fixture in the Dutch top flight was a largely non-descript affair as Willem II and Sparta Rotterdam played out a 0-0 stalemate.
In what was a game that will not live long in the memory, a volatile second period provided the only real talking points.
In the 70th minute, Jan Michels was shown a red card for Sparta before in the final minute, his team-mate Sjaak Polak joined him in taking an early bath as he too was dismissed having been booked in the first period.
The result will do little to alter the current league position of either club, with Willem in 13th and Sparta in 8th, both loitering in midtable mediocrity.
