Wout Weghorst scored the only goal as high-flying Heracles beat ADO Den Haag 1-0 to climb to second in the Eredivisie.
Weghorst headed home from a Wout Droste cross in the 38th minute at the Kyocera Stadium as John Stegeman's side moved within a point of leaders Ajax.
Den Haag dominated possession and had more chances on target throughout but could not find a way past Bram Castro as Heracles maintained their superb start to the campaign.
