Alaves trial keeper

Khalid Sinouh has been handed a trial by Spanish side Alaves.

Khalid Sinouh has been handed a trial by Spanish side Alaves.

The keeper is available on a free transfer, having moved on from RKC Waalwijk this summer, and is eager to find a new club before the season kicks into gear.

Sinouh had held talks with NAC Breda, Metz and Coventry City, but failed to secure a move to any of the interested parties.

Alaves have now stepped in to hand him a trial, as they are keen to add options to their ranks ahead of the new Primera Liga season.

The club, who secured promotion to the top flight last term, have just Argentinian Roberto Bonano and French goalkeeper Nicolas Ardouin as first team options and are keen to bring in a new face.

Sinouh has undoubted quality, but his status as Morocco's number one has put off a lot of clubs as he would be committed to representing his country at the African Cup of Nations.
