Former Pompey star warns Chelsea

Tresor Lomana Lua Lua believes Olympiakos can shock Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League encounter. The Greeks play host to Chelsea on Tuesday in the first leg of their last 16 clash, with Chelsea heavy favourites to progress. However,Lua Lua - who left Portsmouth to join Olympiakos last summer - believes Chelsea are beatable. "I watch a lot of Premier League football and Chelsea are a fantastic team - but they are not unbeatable," Lua Lua told The People. "They have some world class players like Drogba, Lampard and Anelka but I fancy my chances against their defence, especially if John Terry is not fit. "We've already drawn with Real Madrid and beaten Lazio so we do not fear Chelsea. I believe we'll go through to the quarter finals." Lua Lua also paid tribute to Chelsea boss Avram Grant who advised him to make the move to Greece. "I got to know Avram very well when he was director of football at Portsmouth and he is a top man," added Lua Lua.

Thanks

"He helped me a lot last season when I was at my lowest point. I was still haunted by the death of my baby son from pneumonia, I was injured all the time and had fallen out of love with football. "Avram told me to keep smiling, keep working hard and that it would all come right for me. "He had already joined Chelsea when Olympiakos made a move for me but I rang him and he said I should go because they are a massive club and it was a chance for me to play in the Champions League. "Neither of us thought we would be playing each other in the knockout stages just a few months later. I owe Avram a lot but that will not stop me wanting to beat him."
