The Dutchman is expecting a busy evening in Amsterdam as he looks to force his way into the World Cup plans of Holland coach Louis van Gaal.
The former Holland U21s defender is aware his performance will be under intense scrutiny, but he insists he will be fully focused on helping Celtic advance in the Champions League rather than worrying about his own international ambitions.
"That is not what I am playing for, but yes, there will be a lot of eyes pointing in my direction," he said.
"I feel okay about it. I need to handle it but I think it will be okay. I don't feel any pressure. I just want to play a good game and win it. That is what I am focusing on."
Van Dijk is confident the Scottish champions can complete the double over Ajax following the 2-1 win in Glasgow last month.
"We know we can get a result here," he added. "We know what to expect from Ajax but we have to believe in ourselves.
"They are a young team, they like to play and take risks and they are a very good team.
"They had a lot of possession at Celtic Park and created a lot of chances but we won the game and that is what it is all about."
You can watch Celtic take on Ajax in Amsterdam live on Sky Sports 4 from 7.00pm on Wednesday evening.
