The result in Turin saw Juve's winless run in the European competition continue, but FC Copenhagen's surprise 1-0 victory over Galatasaray in the other Group B game - despite leaving the Serie A club bottom of the pool - got Juve firmly back in contention for the knockout phase.
"Copenhagen's win over the Turkish side is a positive result for us," Conte said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "Now we have to beat Copenhagen before our final group game against Galatasaray."
Real Madrid have all but secured their progress to the next stage, but the battle for second spot is wide open with Gala and FCK on four points and Juve on three.
The remaining fixtures look to favour Juve, with both Gala and Copenhagen still having to face nine-time European champions Real.
"We played a great game against Real," Conte said. "I liked the determination my players showed throughout the game.
"We haven't taken the results we deserved so far but these type of performances should give us more confidence in our quality.
"I believe that if we progress to the knockout round, my team can have a say in this Champions League.
"The important thing is that we continue to improve in this competition."
Juve reached the quarter-finals last term before being eliminated by eventual champions Bayern Munich.
