Redknapp's boys tipped to be best of British

Skysports.com readers are solidly backing Spurs ahead of their crunch Europa League clash with PAOK Salonika at White Hart Lane. The 1-0 defeat by Rubin Kazan earlier this month has seen Harry Redknapp's men drop to third in Group A but our poll shows you remain convinced they have a big future in the competition. Around 70 per cent of you expect them to go further in the competition than the remainder of the British contingent. Stoke need just a point from their clash with Dynamo Kiev at the Britannia Stadium on Thursday night to reach the round of 32 but only 15 per cent of you think they will go further than the other Brits. Fulham, who stand second on Group K and look well placed to qualify received 7 per cent of your vote while Celtic and Birmingham were each backed by 5 per cent. Sky Bet's Joe Petyt said: "When betting on the Europa League it's well worth remembering that the 3rd placed Champions League teams will be joining the competition at the next stage and this year there's some very strong teams currently occupying those places. Should they finish in that 3rd place the likes of Man City, Valencia & Lyon are sure to go to the front of the Europa League betting." On this week's action he added: "Tottenham need a win against PAOK if they want to qualify for the next stage but with Harry Redknapp set to play several fringe players again the 4/9 looks a bit short to me. "Having all but qualified Stoke may be worth opposing at home to Dynamo Kiev who can be backed at 2/1. "Fulham need something from their trip to Twente to guarantee qualification and with the home side already through the extra motivation makes the 11/4 available for a Fulham win look quite attractive. "Birmingham have a difficult trip to last year's beaten finalists Braga. They've done very well in Europe so far this season but this may be a trip too far. The home side are just 1/2 to win the game. "Celtic face Atletico Madrid and much will depend on how their opponents approach the game. Despite Celtic's impressive home form in Europe I'm sure we'll be laying a lot of the Spaniards at evens."
