Star striker undergoes scan on knee

Russia striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is a doubt for Euro 2008 after undergoing a scan on his knee injury. Zenit St Petersburg forward Pogrebnyak was the joint top scorer in last season's Uefa Cup as the Russian side won the competition. And news of Pogrebnyak's injury will come as a major blow to Russia boss Guus Hiddink, who will be pinning his attacking hopes on the 24-year-old in Austria and Switzerland. Russia will now await the results of the scans before making a decision on the injury, which Pogrebnyak sustained in the 2-1 victory over Serbia last week. Hiddink's side kick-off against Spain on 10th June in Group D before taking on Greece and Sweden.
