Yobo excited by Drogba clash

Joseph Yobo admits he is excited at the prospect of taking on Didier Drogba.

Nigeria defender Joseph Yobo admits he is excited at the prospect of taking on Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba.

The Everton stopper has first hand experience of Chelsea's hit-man from Premiership action and is now looking forward to resuming battle with the powerful forward.

Nigeria play Ivory Coast in Tuesday's African Cup of Nations semi-final, with Yobo hopeful of guiding the side he has captained in Jay-Jay Okocha's absence to a place in the final.

''Yobo versus Drogba. That's going to be exciting and a real challenge,'' said Yobo.

''A tough one, he's a top player, no doubt about that. I've played against him a few times already.

''It will be very, very exciting. This is a young team that go on and do a lot of good things, hopefully starting here at the Nations Cup.''
