Dani Osvaldo has secured a permanent return to Boca Juniors after several turbulent years in Europe.

The 29-year-old striker fell out with the Roma hierarchy before moving to Southampton in August 2013.

He managed only 13 Premier League appearances for Saints, however, with disciplinary issues including a bust-up with Jose Fonte leading him to return to Italy on loan with Juventus and then Inter Milan.

A successful stint at Boca followed and, despite the fact he joined Porto following his release by Southampton last August, he has now opted to move to La Bombonera after rescinding his contract with the Dragons.
