Ishmael Miller has been added to the England Under 21s squad for their European Championship qualifier against Bulgaria on Friday.
The Manchester City striker, who is currently on loan at West Brom, comes into Stuart Pearce's party as cover for a number of injured players.
Most of Pearce's problems have been in defence, so Leicester left-back Joe Mattock looks set to make his debut.
The 17-year-old was not named in the initial squad but will now be in the starting line-up as Pearce is without Nedum Onuoha, Andrew Taylor and Billy Jones.
Pearce is staying positive however, and he has been delighted with the desire of his injured players.
"You always want everyone available, so the selection problems have not been there this time," he said in the Daily Star.
"But what has pleased me is that everyone has been desperate to be here.
"I've had players drive down from Manchester and Wolverhampton just to be told that they are nowhere near full fitness and we've had to put them straight into a taxi to send them back."
