Defender confident of keeping England man quiet

Switzerland captain Philippe Senderos is confident he will be able to keep Michael Owen quiet in Wednesday's friendly. Arsenal met Newcastle twice in the space of four days last month and Senderos helped to keep Owen and his team-mates at bay. The two players will resume their contest when England take on the Swiss at Wembley and Senderos maintains that his side has nothing to lose. "Michael Owen is always a very dangerous player - you have to keep an eye on him because he can make the difference at any time," Senderos admitted. "You have to keep your focus for the whole game. "The whole team worked really hard against Newcastle. We kept them quiet and controlled the game. "Hopefully tomorrow we can keep the ball and keep England quiet."

Serious game

Senderos is aware that England will be eager to impress new boss Fabio Capello after failing to qualify for Euro 2008. But he said: "We are going to put England under pressure and look to cause them problems. "We only have four or five games to prepare for the Euros, so we are taking every game seriously. "England will be at home in front of their home crowd and I guess as they did not qualify, they have something to prove. "But we are going to try our best. When you come to a place like Wembley you can just play your game."
