Banned Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed Bin Hammam insists delegates will not boycott Wednesday's Fifa presidency election.
Bin Hammam was formerly set to rival current incumbent Sepp Blatter, but he withdrew from the process following his suspension by an ethics committee amid bribery allegations.
There has been speculation that supporters of Bin Hammam and Fifa vice-president Jack Warner, who has also been suspended amid the investigation into alleged corruption, could protest at Wednesday's vote in the form of a walkout.
But Warner, in a letter to members of his Caribbean Football Union which has ultimately seen him reported for breaking his ban, and Bin Hammam insist the congress should not be disturbed.
Speculation
"I have told the Asian delegates not to boycott the congress," said Bin Hammam.
Speculation had mounted that officials from Asia may stage a walkout similar to their boycott at a 1999 congress in Los Angeles.
However, Bin Hammam said that Asian officials would seek to register any protest from within Fifa.
"We are a leading confederation now," he said. "It's totally different from 1999 when we were weak.
"Now we can talk to others on the same level. We can raise our voice and try to make a voice from within Fifa."
