While England prepare to face Slovenia in a World Cup Qualifier, former skipper John Terry is using the international break to study for his coaching badges.
The 36-year-old Aston Villa defender has been training for his UEFA licences since 2014 and has said he would one day like to manage his beloved Chelsea.
Terry retired from international football in 2012 after a controversial end to his international career, which included being twice stripped of the captaincy under Fabio Capello before the team were knocked out of Euro 2012 in the quarter-finals.
The defender has been taken under the wing of Steve Bruce - the Villa manager - in the Championship, where he has captained the side to seventh in the table after 11 games.
With the league in recess during the international break, Terry posted a picture of himself studying with Jim Hicks - the senior executive head of coaching at the PFA.
The post on Tuesday read: "Back in the classroom tonight with the main man Jim Hicks from the @england FA doing my coaching badges."
Terry gained 78 caps and scored six goals in nine years with England. He signed for Villa on a free transfer in the summer after being released by Chelsea.
