Ibrahimovic proved to be the game's match winner when his sublime flick eluded David James in the England goal and the player is clearly delighted with his vital contribution.
''It was a big match in front of a big crowd and home fans,'' Ibrahimovic told Sportbladet.
''Additionally, I had not played for a long time and was particularly hungry.
''Kim hit the cross and I sensed it would go to the near post. I went there and touched it in. It was great.''
Midfielder Kim Kallstrom, who had an effective game for the Swedes, was equally enthused by the team's second-half performance.
''I am pleased and it was a fun game to play in,'' Kallstrom told TT. ''I feel we had control of the match in the second half.''
Meanwhile, Christian Wilhelmsson, who gave Phil Neville a torrid time throughout, enjoyed the step-up to international football and is confident of his ability to perform at a higher level.
''I have played in the UEFA Champions League, but this is another step,'' Wilhelmsson told Sportbladet.
''England are a side with many fantastic players and I felt I could cope with it.''
