Italian yet to decide his next step

England coach Fabio Capello is keeping his options open as he prepares to leave his role with the Three Lions. Capello is set to step down as England manager after Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. Speaking at an awards ceremony in his native Italy, Capello refused to divulge what his plans were after this summer's finals. "Before taking a decision we wait for the end of the European Championship. Then let's see if I go back to Italy, as a TV commentator or as a coach," said Capello. He added: "I am well in England, I am fine, but the Italian anthem is always a strong emotion."

Spain favourites

Looking towards this summer's tournament, Capello has labelled Spain as favourites despite England having beaten the World Cup winners in a recent friendly. "We played them in a friendly and they made a great impression on me with incredible possession of the ball," noted Capello. "Many are looking for an antidote - even (Jose) Mourinho at Real Madrid - but cannot find it."
