Striker also delighted to be back in France fold

Louis Saha admits he fears for Tottenham should Harry Redknapp leave the club to take charge of England. Redknapp is the overwhelming favourite to succeed Fabio Capello following the Italian's resignation earlier this month. The former West Ham and Portsmouth boss has done an impressive job at Tottenham, turning them into title contenders this season and the club are reluctant to lose him. Saha, who was brought to White Hart Lane on transfer deadline day in January, is a big fan of Redknapp and he believes any switch to England would be damaging to Spurs' long-term prospects. "I have great reservations about the possible departure of Redknapp," Saha is quoted as saying in The Times. "He is a great coach and would bring something to the England team, but the championship is quite open and it would be damaging to see him go now."

France recall

Meanwhile, Saha has spoken of his delight after being recalled to the France squad for next week's friendly with Germany. Saha, who has played just once for France since 2006, has impressed France coach Laurent Blanc since making his move to Tottenham. "I am delighted to be called into the national team," added Saha. "I am delighted to be injury free for a while, fingers crossed." Blanc also welcomed the return of Saha to the fold, feeling he deserved his recall. "I love Saha, he is a fantastic player and deserves to be called," said Blanc. "He has missed a great career with Les Bleus because of injuries. "I am happy he is injury free."
