Everton forward James McFadden claims Scotland's 1-0 win over France on Saturday was his 'best' win in football.
McFadden believes the victory over Les Bleus was better than their 1-0 play-off success over Holland back in 2003, or any other game he has been involved with.
The former Motherwell man knows France, who reached the final of this summer's World Cup, are one of the best sides around and that it was crucial to maintain the start to their qualifying campaign.
"It's the best result that I've been involved in during my career, not just with Scotland," explained McFadden.
"It was a great result and keeps us top of the league and further away from France and Italy. It was even better than when I scored the winner against Holland.
"France are probably the best team in the world at the minute and if they are not the best then they are one of them and so we are absolutely delighted to get the win.
"The Holland result was a good result but we didn't follow that up, we got pasted in Holland so I think this is more important because it keeps the good run going.
"It was great in the dressing room afterwards. It wasn't a great performance but it was very effective and we are absolutely delighted."
