Scotland B were held to a 2-2 draw by Finland B in a friendly at Kilmarnock's Rugby Park.

New Scotland manager Alex McLeish had the first chance to look at a number of players for consideration to his full squad on Wednesday evening, but the hosts did not get off to the best of starts.

Finland took the lead after just three minutes when an unmarked Jari Llola fired home from the edge of the box after pouncing on a Perparim Hetemaj corner.

The second-string Scots pulled level eight minutes later when new Aston Villa signing Shaun Maloney fired home Stephen Pearson's cross from the left.

Scotland then claimed the lead on 64 minutes, as substitute Alan Gow knocked home a Maloney corner, but they were unable to hold on.

Hearts striker Juho Makela (pictured), who has just agreed a loan deal to join Swiss club FC Thun, headed home Daniel Sjolund's corner to earn a draw.

The draw would have pleased former Blackburn Rovers and Internazionale boss Roy Hodgson, who is currently in charge of Finland's national side.
