Scotland hero Craig Beattie described his late winner against Georgia as the best moment of his career.
The Celtic striker came off the bench to grab the winner in the final minute to ensure Alex McLeish got off to a winning start as Scotland manager.
The result keeps Scotland top of Group B ahead of Wednesday's clash with Italy and Beattie was ecstatic to score his first goal for his country in such a crucial manner.
"Coming on at Hampden and grabbing the winner in a vital match has got to be up there at the top of my career," beamed Beattie.
"I don't know how it went in, I would need to see it again.
"But it doesn't matter to me, I couldn't care less.
"The manager asked me to go on and work hard and get a goal if I could.
"It was my third cap with three substitute appearances and I'm absolutely delighted with my first goal. It was a fantastic day.
"We were always creating chances but you think when it gets to the 89th minute then it's too late.
"Let's hope we can get a result on Wednesday. We know it won't be easy but we will try our best not to let anyone down."
