Rangers defender Steven Whittaker has set his sights on making a dream debut for Scotland against Holland this weekend.
Whittaker has been drafted into the squad for the World Cup qualifier after the withdrawal of Rangers team-mates David Weir and Kirk Broadfoot.
The full-back insists he is ready to be called upon by Scotland boss George Burley if required for the game in the Amsterdam ArenA.
"It would be a bit of a dream to earn my first full Scotland cap in this game. I'm ready if needed," Whittaker told Rangers' official website.
"I'm just delighted to be with the squad and it would definitely be a fantastic career moment to be involved against Holland.
"I've played big games for Rangers in the Champions League and Uefa Cup so that experience would stand me in good stead to face the quality of players Holland have."
Whittaker believes Scotland need to go into the game without fear despite their injury problems.
"Scotland have to approach the game in a positive frame of mind," added Whittaker.
"The situation is we need the points if we are to qualify for the World Cup in 2010.
"We have to be confident in our ability and have the belief we can take something from the game."
