Clinton Morrison claims he was racially abused the last time he faced Switzerland.Clinton Morrison claims he was racially abused the last time he opposed Switzerland while playing for Republic of Ireland.
The Irish striker insists he was on the receiving end of racial abuse when his side lost 2-0 in Basel last October.
Morrison claims Swiss striker Alexander Frei singled him out as Ireland's hopes of qualifying for Euro 2004 were dashed.
Frei is suspended for Wednesday's meeting between the nations, following his ban for spitting at England ace Steven Gerrard at the European Championship.
Birmingham City hit-man Morrison admits he is disappointed Frei will not be playing as he is thirsty for revenge after the forward's comments last autumn.
"Switzerland did for us in the Euro 2004 qualifiers and there were a lot of not nice things going on in the game in Basel so we owe them one," revealed Morrison.
"I'm a bit disappointed that Frei is suspended for the game because he made a remark to me during the last game.
"He made a racist remark. I don't want to repeat what he said.
"I will keep that to myself but he said it on the pitch and I went mad about it."
