Though Chelsea's managerial saga has drawn to a close following the appointment of current Italy boss Antonio Conte, it seems the drama may not be over quite yet.
Following the sacking of professed 'Special One' Jose Mourinho, whose persona in the media has come to be the stuff of legend, it appears his Italian successor is something of a character as well.
Speaking to the press about his Azzurri side's last-16 clash with Spain, the 46-year-old lost patience with the assembled journalists, embarking on a tirade over the qualities of their upcoming opponents.
Having just witnessed his team sacrifice their 100 per cent record in the tournament to Ireland, the former Juventus boss may not have been in the best mood but his bewildering comments about the moon and being a visionary, still left the room stunned.
He raged: "Do you want me to tell you they're rubbish? We're talking about one of the best teams in the world. What do you want me to say… we're coming up against one of the best teams in the world. Unless I'm some sort of visionary that has come down from the moon and that Spain are just a sparring partner?"
