Roberto Donadoni has admitted that Italy must go to Ukraine in search of a win if they are to keep their hopes of Euro 2008 qualification alive.
The Azzurri were held to a 0-0 draw by France on Saturday, a result which allowed Scotland to climb above them and into the top two.
Donadoni concedes that his side were disappointing against France, but has promised an aggressive approach against Ukraine on Wednesday.
"We held this team well but were a little too reluctant to come forward in the opening 20 minutes," he said.
"We strengthened the centre of the side and that gave us many more chances, but we ran out of fuel at the end.
"We will now go to Kiev to win. I won't be satisfied with a draw there."
Andrea Pirlo is doubtful for the clash with Ukraine after suffering a calf injury against France.
Luca Toni was pulled out of the squad hours before the France game after failing to recover from his thigh strain.
Vincenzo Iaquinta has been called up to replace him.
