Les Bleus boss saw improvements after conceding opening goal

France coach Laurent Blanc thought his side suffered from nerves in their 1-1 draw with England at Euro 2012. The two old rivals could not be separated in their Group D opener in Donetsk as Joleon Lescott's header was cancelled out by Samir Nasri in the first half. Blanc thought it was a fair result, but believed his side showed signs of anxiety before improving after going behind. "I think we have to be happy with that," said the former Manchester United defender. "We were too timid at the start, there was a bit of pressure that got to us. "And then we got better, actually, after we conceded the goal. That's when we started playing." He added: "In the second half, I think we could have scored a second goal. But overall, I think it's a fair draw for both sides."
