Ponzio gets Argentina call for World Cup qualifiers
River Plate star Leonardo Ponzio is the surprise name called up by Argentina for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Sabella announced 21 foreign-based players 10 days ago, including Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain.
Sabella has completed his squad list with those playing in the domestic league, with Ponzio getting the call ahead of Estudiantes' Rodrigo Brana.
Goalkeeper Agustin Orion, defenders Clemente Rodriguez, Sebastian Dominguez and Gino Peruzzi, and midfielders Fernando Gago and Maxi Rodriguez are the others.
Argentina host Venezuela on Friday in Buenos Aires, before they travel to Bolivia on Tuesday, March 26.
