Leicester needed to defeat Manchester United on Super Sunday to win the title but Anthony Martial broke the deadlock before Foxes captain Wes Morgan levelled the scores.
The result left Leicester's fate in Chelsea's hands on Monday Night Football, who had to win or draw against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge to crown Leicester champions.
That looked unlikely after Harry Kane put Spurs ahead and Heung-Min Son doubled their lead before the break. But Gary Cahill reduced the deficit for Chelsea in the 58th minute before Eden Hazard scored a dramatic 83rd-minute equaliser to produce one of the greatest sporting achievements in history.
