Sergio Aguero's odds on being the Premier League's top goalscorer have been slashed from 3/1 to just 4/5 following his five-goal haul against Newcastle.

The Argentina star led the most emphatic of comebacks with five goals in just over 20 minutes as City came from behind to beat Newcastle 6-1, with Kevin de Bruyne adding the other.

That win saw Manuel Pellegrini's men cut to 4/6 for the title, having previously drifted from 4/11 to 10/11 following back-to-back defeats, while champions Chelsea are now out to 20/1 after losing 3-1 at home to Southampton.

Aguero's remarkable haul leaves him on six goals in total and one behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy, who scored his seventh of the season in Leicester's 2-1 win at Norwich.

The Foxes continue to shorten for a top-six finish and are now 9/1, while Vardy is 18/1 to still be the league's leading scorer come the end of the campaign, having been available at 100/1 at the start of the season,

Odion Ighalo was the same price before a ball was kicked and is now 20/1 after netting his fifth goal in Watford's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Diego Costa, Harry Kane, Christian Benteke and Wayne Rooney were among the favourites along with Aguero at the start of the season, but are now all available at odds of 25/1 or longer.
