Bournemouth’s Glenn Murray is in talks with Brighton about a return to the Seagulls, Sky sources understand.
It is understood Murray will complete a season-long loan switch to Brighton in the next 24 hours.
The 32-year-old had a prolific three-and-a-half-year spell with Brighton after joining the club from Rochdale in January 2008.
Murray scored 54 goals in 118 league appearances for the club before joining rivals Crystal Palace on a free transfer in 2011.
He established himself as a first-team regular in his first two seasons at Palace and scored 30 Championship goals in the 2012/13 season to help the Eagles get promoted to the Premier League.
But a serious knee injury saw him sidelined till February 2014 and six months later the striker moved on loan to Reading.
Exactly a year later, Murray joined Bournemouth in a £4m deal. He made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries, scoring four goals.
