The summer transfer window is in full flow and clubs across Europe are making moves as they look to piece together the squad they need in time for the start of the season.

Italy

Having missed out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and seen Alvaro Morata pledge his future to Real Madrid, Chelsea have also been unsuccessful with a £88m offer for Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain, which has been rejected by the Serie A champions. (Tuttosport)

Roma have moved to replace Mohamed Salah, who joined Liverpool earlier in the transfer window, with Leicester City's Algeria wideman Riyad Mahrez. The player has agreed terms on a £40m move to the Italian capital. (Mediaset)

Former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti, who took charge at Inter Milan this summer, is keen to raid his former club for Manchester United transfer target Radja Nainggolan. Spalletti also wants to make four signings during this window. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

However, Roma have begun negotiations with the Belgian enforcer over a new contract. New sporting director Monchi has offered Nainggolan £3.5m (€4m) per year but the 29-year-old wants £4.4m (€5m) for the next five years. (Corriere dello Sport)

Spain

Chelsea transfer target Danilo is keen to join the Premier League champions from Real Madrid. The Brazilian, 26, has not been a regular at the Bernabeu where Dani Carvajal is ahead of him in the pecking order. (Diario Gol)

Leonardo Bonucci is set to complete a £35m (€40m) move from Juventus to Milan and has already begun helping the Rossoneri's recruitment. Having shared a dressing room with Morata at Juve, he has called the striker to try to persuade him to move to the San Siro. (Marca)

Another day and more honesty from Jose Mourinho who has admitted bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United was "mission impossible". The Portuguese forward, 32, will stay at Real Madrid this summer despite interest from his former club. (AS)

Barcelona need to raise £53m (€60m) to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti and Guangzhou Evergrande's Paulinho. They will attempt to do so by selling Arda Turan and Rafinha. However, injury to Rafina and a lack of interest in Turan are not helping. (Marca)

Germany

Nerazzurri coach Spalletti has plenty of irons in the fire when it comes to a new midfielder with Bayern Munich's Arturo Vidal also an Inter Milan transfer target. The Chile international moved to the Bundesliga from Juve in 2015. (SportBild)

New Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Bosz hopes to hold onto star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but expects speculation surround the Gabonese hitman's future to continue until the transfer window closes at the end of next month. (Kicker)

Having lost Bonucci to Milan, the Bianconeri are keen to replace the Italian international with Borussia Dortmund centre-back Sokratis. The 29-year-old has new competition for his place at BVB following Omer Toprak's arrival from Bayer Leverkusen. (SportBild)

Premier League sides Watford and Bournemouth are both keen to sign Lyon midfielder Jordan Ferri. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2020 but could see his playing time increase after the departures of Corentin Tolisso and Maxime Gonalons. (L'Equipe)

Lille are close to signing two Santos players. Thiago Maia, 20, is a defensive midfielder and will sign a four-year deal. Meanwhile, Caju, 21, is a left-back who will join on loan with the option of a permanent £3.5m (€4m) move if he plays a certain number of games. (Le Figaro)

Paris Saint-Germain will return to Argentina to try to sign striker Lucas Alario after failing to complete a deal in January. The 24-year-old scored 12 times in 26 starts for River last season. (L'Equipe)

Turkey

Manchester City outcast Eliaquim Mangala is wanted by Turkish side Besiktas. The French defender spent last season on loan at Valencia and is unlikely to be required at the Etihad Stadium by Pep Guardiola this season. (Milliyet)
