Wayne Rooney sparked scenes of wild celebration when he scored on his Premier League return to Everton as they beat Stoke 1-0.
The forward was playing in his first league game back in the blue shirt on the opening weekend of the new season, and headed in the winner for the home side.
After a lacklustre first half that produced few chances for either side, the fourth official signalled for one added minute which cued Rooney to spring into action.
He set off the move himself, tapping into the path of Idrissa Gueye on his right who in turn found Sandro Ramirez. The summer signing then picked out Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the wing, who crossed into the box.
His effort found the rising head of Rooney, who powered the ball past a leaping Jack Butland and set off some excited celebrations in front of the home fans.
The England striker was mobbed by his team-mates as they congratulated him on his effort, which secured the three points for Everton.
