#RevistaPredictor - Matchday 4 in La Liga

Revista Predictor

The #RevistaPredictor has thrown some intriguing encounters our way on Matchday 4... the question is, can anyone catch Rob Palmer who has already got a 10-point lead in the standings?

It's a good trio of games this week: a derby, an encounter featuring the champions and one of the early pace-setters, and also another of the newly-promoted teams at home to one of the stronger sides in La Liga. It's resulted in a few interesting predictions from our experts...

MATCH 1: Levante v Valencia

Identical points and goal difference for these two ahead of the Valencian derby, and it's got tight and perhaps even edgy written all over it.

Live La Liga Football

We've got a spread of forecasts here, with Rob Palmer the only man to go for a home win - with myself (David Garrido) and David Phillips going for a Valencia victory away, and then Jon Driscoll and Kevin Keatings backing the draw.

I just wonder whether there might be a comedown for Levante after last weekend's draw at the Estadio Bernabeu, even though they will be fired up for this local clash.

Valencia have settled incredibly well under Marcelino, and Andreas Pereira and Goncalo Guedes could be the ones that open things up.

MATCH 2: Girona v Sevilla

Five away wins predicted here, with everyone except me going for a Sevilla first-goalscorer.

There might be the tiniest hint of a Champions League hangover for Sevilla after their trip to Anfield, but there's more than enough in their squad to fight back if they do go behind, especially with the likes of Nolito, Jesus Navas and Ever Banega and also don't forget the demanding Toto Berizzo on the sidelines.

Girona gave Atletico Madrid a scare on the opening matchday and having had a full week's rest, there's a chance they could just do the same against Sevilla. But the smart money suggests that the visitors will come away from Montilivi with the points.

MATCH 3: Real Madrid v Real Sociedad

Having drawn their last two games, Real Madrid cannot afford to drop any more points - and yet two of us reckon they will, with Real Sociedad starting the season like a train.

Live La Liga Football

As for first goalscorer, it's the final game of Cristiano Ronaldo's suspension and Karim Benzema is out injured, so Gareth Bale may well play up front, and he has a decent scoring record against Real Sociedad.

Isco's introduction against Levante made an impact, and he should start - Kevin and the other David have him the man to open the scoring.

It should be an absolute belter of a game, but if Madrid don't win it, it could be a huge blow so very early for their La Liga title defence.
