Gordon Strachan believes if Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester City his wages would have caused unrest in the changing room

Chris Kamara has questioned where Alexis Sanchez will fit into Jose Mourinho's squad if his proposed move to Manchester United is completed.

Sky Sports News understands Manchester United and Arsenal remain in talks over a potential swap deal involving Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

On Thursday, Arsene Wenger said he expected the deal to be complete within 24 to 48 hours, but an agreement is yet to be reached between all parties.

If the transfer is completed, Kamara thinks Sanchez's arrival could kick up further issues for Manchester United's style of play and the current squad at Old Trafford.

"Where do you play him, when you've got Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and the other players they've got?" he told The Debate.

"There are so many conundrums. I'm sure Sanchez has had guarantees because he's not going to go there and sit on the bench.

"Do you change the system? Is Jose not going to play with one up top? Sanchez loves to play often behind the striker. Does Sanchez's arrival spell the end for Juan Mata?"

Jose Mourinho insists he is staying out of the negotiations for a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez

Kamara thinks Guardiola will be frustrated at the conduct of Sanchez and his agent Fernando Felicevich.

"I would imagine Guardiola is not happy with Alexis Sanches or his agent," he added.

"I presume they thought the deal would be done in January irrespective of Manchester United or any club that may have come in for him.

Pep Guardiola expects Alexis Sanchez to join Manchester United and says there are no hard feelings

"They would have more or less told him that because they didn't get him in August they would him in January, and asked him to make sure they were the only club in the frame.

"But, all of sudden, his agent has said they are not the only club in the frame."
