Atletico Madrid will try to keep Antoine Griezmann by offering him a contract worth at least £17m (€20m) a year. The club will also promise next season's squad will be stronger than the current one and infrastructure projects like the completion of the new stadium and first-class training facilities will make the club better equipped to match his ambitions. Liverpool target Jan Oblak has stated he's happy at Atletico Madrid but does not know whether he will be staying at the club this summer, suggesting the final decision regarding his future will not be up to him. (AS)
The race is on to try and convince Juventus' goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to reconsider his plans to retire and instead opt for a new challenge instead. Inter Milan may be forced to sell key players this summer as they look to make up a £35m (€40m) hole in their budget before June 30. This may involve the sale of West Ham's on-loan star Joao Mario as well as Chelsea target Ivan Perisic. (Calciomercato)
Borussia Monchengladbach hope to bolster their defence for next season with young Tottenham defender Keanan Bennetts. The club's CEO Sascha Breese was recently spotted walking in to the stadium with Bennetts' parents and is believed to be in the process of signing the 19-year old defender. (Sport Bild)
Incoming Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has apparently vetoed an already agreed move for Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner. The 34-year old has apparently already agreed terms with the Bundesliga giants but Favre believes the Switzerland international is too old to adapt to his tactics for next season. (Sport Bild)
In response to not being picked for Germany's World Cup squad, Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner has announced his retirement from international football. The 30-year old was overlooked by Joachim Low for Mario Gomez, Nils Petersen and Timo Werner, as well as regular participants Marco Reus and Thomas Muller. (Bild)
Although he may not have featured in the final, Atletico Madrid's Kevin Gameiro became the first France player to win four European trophies. The striker had previously won three Europa League titles during his time with Sevilla. (L'Equipe)
