Jurgen Klopp gave an especially warm welcome to new signing Naby Keita on Liverpool's first day of pre-season training.
In a video captured by LFC TV, Klopp is seen to give Keita a big hug as the two bump into each other on the stairs at the club's Melwood training ground.
Klopp can be heard speaking in Keita's first language, French, asking him "ça va?", or "how are you?"
The club's new No 8, who finally became a Liverpool player on Sunday after his protracted move from RB Leipzig, was joined in pre-season by fellow summer signing Fabinho following his capture from Monaco.
Klopp certainly looked delighted as he hopes to improve on last season's fourth-place finish and a run to the Champions League final.
