Greece defender Vassilios Torosidis has set his sights on silverware with Roma after signing a new three-year deal earlier this month.
The 29-year-old, who played at this summer's World Cup in Brazil, signed for Roma in 2013 after several trophy-laden seasons with Olympiakos, but is yet to taste success in Italy, settling for runners-up spot in the 2013 Coppa Italia and last season's Serie A race.
Juventus finished a massive 17 points clear of Roma last season, but Torosidis believes they can close that gap this season.
"We've got a strong squad with a lot of top players," he said at a press conference on Wednesday. "We all want to win the Scudetto, but it will be a tough season with some big games. We need to be ready to fight on all fronts.
"The fans all think we're a strong team and we also want to win the Scudetto: it won't be easy as there are a number of good teams like Napoli, Juventus and Fiorentina. We'll see how it goes.
"This season will be taxing: we will be involved in three competitions, Serie A, the Coppa Italia and Champions League. The players need to be ready. We all want to win something and our main goal is the Scudetto."
One big key to doing that could be keeping hold of in-demand defender Mehdi Benatia, who has been linked with a £30million move to Chelsea.
"Mehdi is a great footballer and a lovely guy," Torosidis said. "I want him to stay at the club, but he hasn't spoken to me about his future. He's a professional and wants to win the Scudetto here at Roma too."
