Russia 2018 World Cup costs soar by £260m

Russia has increased spending on the 2018 FIFA World Cup by 19.1bn rubles (£260m), the Russian news agency TASS has reported.
Cost have risen from 619.7bn rubles (£8.4bn), taking the new cost of the event to a staggering 638.8bn rubles (£8.7bn).
Tournament organisers have offered no explanation for the increased costs.
Russia selected 11 host cities, with Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara all involved.
The World Cup will take place between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums, two of which are in Moscow.
